Dating Safety Tips
Mischief Dating does not run criminal background checks or identity screening on members. A verified badge means a member's selfie matched their photos, and nothing more.
Meeting someone new is exciting. These tips help you stay safe while you do.
Before you meet
- Stay on Mischief Dating until you feel comfortable. Scammers often push you to other apps quickly.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto, or share financial information, no matter the story.
- Protect personal details: your home address, workplace and daily routine.
- Talk first. A voice note or video call helps confirm the person is who they say they are.
- Look them up. A quick search of their name and photos can reveal red flags.
When you meet
- Meet in a public place, and get there and back on your own.
- Tell a friend where you'll be and who you're meeting, and share your location with them.
- Watch your drink and stay in control.
- Leave if you feel uncomfortable. You don't owe anyone an explanation.
Afterward
- Block and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable, asks for money or pressures you.
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
